Pamela Fischer

Pamela Fischer was born in Calgary, and is a graduate of the University of Calgary (Bachelor of Arts 1980), the University of Alberta (Bachelor of Education - Honours 1982) and the University of Calgary (Bachelor of Laws 1987).

She articled in Calgary with Edward S. Pipella Q.C. and was called to the Alberta bar in 1988. She continued to practice exclusively in the area of personal injury law and handled both minor and serious (i.e. quadriplegics, paraplegics, brain injuries, amputees) injury files, slip and fall injuries and dental and medical malpractice.

Pam was lead Canadian counsel on the Owen Hart wrongful death lawsuit, filed in Kansas City, Missouri in June, 1999. She settled the file for $18 M (U.S.), the highest award obtained to date for a fatality in the State of Missouri or in Canada.

She is currently a member of the Calgary Bar Association, Alberta Bar Association, Personal Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association, Civil Litigation Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association, Insurance Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Gavin Price

Gavin Price received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Zoology) from the University of Calgary in 1997. He then attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2001.

Upon graduation, Gavin clerked at the Court of Appeal and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. Following his clerkship, Gavin completed his articles at the Calgary offices of a major Canadian law firm, practicing in securities and regulatory matters, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2002. Gavin then joined a boutique litigation firm in 2003, where he practiced civil litigation for five years, with a focus on commercial litigation. He also devoted a significant portion of his practice to medical malpractice litigation and representing clients in securities and regulatory matters.

Gavin’s current practice focuses on cases involving serious personal injury, medical negligence and broker negligence. Gavin has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, as well as the Alberta Securities Commission and the Investment Dealers’ Association. Recently, Gavin was instrumental in settling a fatality medical negligence claim and a complex injury claim involving a seriously injured minor.

In his spare time, Gavin volunteers with the Progressive Alternative Society of Calgary and the Resicare Society of Calgary. His hobbies include hiking, downhill skiing and tournament poker.
