James Cuming
Jamie's practice consists of acting exclusively for Plaintiffs in class actions, serious personal injury claims, and securities litigation. Acting for individuals in class actions, and victims of motor vehicle collisions take up most of Jamie's caseload, however, he has also successfully resolved cases involving industrial accidents, slip and fall injuries, securities litigation, and medical negligence claims.
Jamie has successfully resolved hundreds of cases both outside and within our Court process. Highlights of his resolved cases include involvement as Plaintiff's counsel and co-counsel in Trials with awards in excess of $1.5 million dollars, successfully resolving the largest medical negligence settlement in Alberta history, certifying the first class action in Alberta, and successfully resolving the first national class action based in Alberta.
He has appeared in the Alberta court of Appeal, Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, and Alberta Provincial Court, and has participated in numerous Judicial and private mediations.
Jamie is a graduate of the University of Alberta, where he received his Bachelor of Laws in 1994, and the University of Calgary, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1991.
Jamie is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Trial Lawyers Associations, First Vice President of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, a Governor of the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association), as well as being a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Calgary Bar Association and Law Society of Alberta. Recently Jamie was involved with a National CBA Committee committed to reversing tort "reform" and allowing all injured individuals access to justice.

Craig Gillespie
Craig joined the firm in February of 2003. Craig obtained his Bachelor of Political Science at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he achieved Deans List status while playing golf on the intercollegiate team. After graduating Craig spent time working on the oil rigs in Southern Alberta before deciding to attend law school. Craig obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta, again with Deans List status.
After graduating, Craig was one of select few students across Canada hired to clerk for the Alberta Court of Queens Bench (trial division) and Alberta Court of Appeal (appellate division). This unique experience afforded Craig the opportunity to meet and work closely with Albertas judges and get a "behind the scenes" perspective of the trial process. After clerking, Craig articled and was called to the Bar with the firm of Macleod Dixon LLP, where he practiced in the areas of Insurance Defence and Insolvency Litigation.
Craigs unique employment background and his behind the scenes knowledge of both the insurance industry and trial process serves his clients well. Craig is extremely open and approachable with all of his clients.
Craigs practice focuses on motor vehicle bodily injury claims including the ever changing area of Fatal Accident and wrongful death claims. Craig also handles losses arising out of slip and fall, assault, professional negligence and medical negligence. Like other members of the firm, Craig is also active in advancing Class Action lawsuits and Securities lawsuits.
Craig currently sits on the executive of the Calgary branch of the Canadian Bar Association and provides case law updates and commentary for the Personal Injury and Health Law practice groups. Craig is also a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of American Trial Lawyers.
Craig enjoys golfing, hockey and the outdoors.
