Hasith joined Cuming & Gillespie Lawyers in 2022.
Hasith completed two years of undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Arts and Science then completed his legal education at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law.
Outside of the classroom, Hasith frequently participated in student governance and student activities during his undergraduate studies and law school.
Hasith spent two summers and an articling year with a national corporate-commercial law firm where he obtained broad litigation experience and seconded with Saskatoon Prosecutions as well as the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan.
Hasith was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2020 then joined a local start-up law firm where he obtained further broad litigation experience. He was also appointed to a provincial quasi-judicial administrative tribunal where he obtained oral advocacy experience by hearing then deciding over 750 applications and appeals for transportation regulatory programs.
Hasith represents individuals who suffer from injuries caused by forms of negligence such as motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, and medical malpractice disasters. Hasith litigates claims to recover damages for losses from: present pain and suffering; past out-of-pocket expenses, reduced housekeeping capacity, and missed income; and future cost of care and diminished earning capacity.
Outside of the office, Hasith enjoys spending time with his family and girlfriend, attending social events, and watching stand-up comedy.
