Craig obtained his Bachelor of Political Science at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he achieved Dean’s List status while playing golf on the intercollegiate team. After graduating, Craig spent time working on the oil rigs in Southern Alberta before deciding to attend law school. Craig obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta, again with Dean’s List status.

After graduating, Craig was one of a select few students across Canada hired to clerk for the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench (trial division) and Alberta Court of Appeal (appellate division). This unique experience afforded Craig the opportunity to meet and work closely with Alberta’s judges and get a “behind the scenes” perspective of the trial process. After completing his clerkship, Craig articled and was called to the Bar with the firm of Macleod Dixon LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright LLP), where he practiced in the areas of Insurance Defence and Insolvency Litigation.

Craig joined the firm in February of 2003 and became a Managing Partner in July of 2007.

Craig’s unique employment background and his behind the scenes knowledge of both the insurance industry and the trial process serves his clients well. Craig is extremely open and approachable with all of his clients.

Craig’s practice focuses on medical malpractice and motor vehicle bodily injury claims, including the ever-changing area of fatal accident and wrongful death claims. Craig also handles losses arising out of slip and falls, assault, and professional negligence. Like other members of the firm, Craig is also active in advancing Class Action lawsuits and Securities lawsuits.

Craig has been recognized as a Leading Practitioner in the areas of Personal Injury, Class Action Litigation, and Medical Negligence. He is recognized in Lexpert and Best Lawyers listings on an annual basis and was also named the Best Lawyers in Canada 2017 Calgary Medical Negligence Lawyer of the Year.

Craig currently is involved with the Calgary Chapter of MADD Canada and on the executive of the Calgary branch of the Canadian Bar Association where he provides case law updates and commentary for the Personal Injury practice group. Craig has also held the position of President of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (2014 – 2015) and is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly, the Association of American Trial Lawyers).

Outside of the office, Craig enjoys golfing, hockey, and the outdoors.
